When planning storage solutions consider how much closed and / or open storage is required
Is cupboard space more useful than drawer space?
If space is at a premium for opening doors are sliding doors worthy of consideration?
Reduced depth wardrobes generally do not allow clothes to hang from left to right. However a pull-out “trombone rail” can be specified to allow for items to hang from back to front
Double short hanging (with one hanging rail fixed above another) in a wardrobe is useful for hanging shorter items because it makes the best possible use of the space available
Short hanging or shelving above drawers is also worth considering as is short hanging below shelves
Shaped end wardrobes can “soften” the appearance of a run of wardrobes, for example next to a room entrance or in a window area
Does the room need to contain a desk and desk chair?
Is it possible to use open shelving above the desk?
Is integrated lighting required? Lighting can be specified for most ranges either in the form of integrated lights or for possibly forward protruding lighting used on wardrobe cornices or shelving systems
How flexible in design do the items specified need to be?
